Back to School… C# Style

So I decided that I would try to make myself a little more intelligent and decided it was time to formalize some skills (no not nunchuks, sorry) and looked around for some classes to take this Fall. Well, I looked at GMU and found that it probably wasn’t going to happen mostly because their course costs are pretty expensive (granted, I could easily request the company for which I am employed by to pay for them) but I figure that I don’t mind picking up the tab this go round.
So I’m enrolled as a part time student at Northern Virginia Community College where I’m taking a class on the C# programming language, a part of the .NET framework. I know that there are a few people that might read this and think that I’ve slipped to the dark side. Fear not, just like Professor Snape I’m not really a member of the dark side… or am I 😉
Nonetheless, the class looks to be a decent one and the instructor is quite knowledgable in the area of Object Oriented Programming having authored one book entitled C++ For Artists: The Art, Philosophy, and Science of Object-Oriented Programming distributed by Pulp Free Press and working on another entitled Java for Artists.
The class over all seems to be knowledgable in the area of programming, but there are a few folks that I think is definitely cause some mental anguish to. So if you’re curious why I’m never around on Monday nights, you now know why.
