NCIS Addiction

I had never seen the show NCIS utnil a few days ago when I happened to turn the DVR on Thursday night and said, “Hmmm, let’s check this out, I know a bit about the Navy…”. So after watching this past weeks episode dealing with Tony catching the plague from enhaling a substance from an envelope mailed to their office I think I’m hooked. I’ve ended up watching that episode twice now.
So I mention that I’m interested in the show and a friend of mine mentions he’s got it all on his DVR and that he can burn off a copy of everything he’s watched. To say the least, I’m definitely addicted. Though I do have to say that I’m laughing at some of the techno-babble that they use which reminds me of a lot of stuff that just drives me somewhat crazy as a technogeek. The favorite thing would have to be an episode that talks about how to overclock a computer — either a) you can change the multiplier or b) you can increase the front side bus. Now, sure for some people they might be like, “Wow, I guess you’re right, only MIT graduates would know that.” Maybe I’m just arrogant, but seriously, this isn’t rocket science. For other interesting information that has been in shows like 24, check this out:
Schneier on Security — Blowfish Article — I think you’ll get a kick out of some of the things that they mention about the technobabble of 24.
