I think another way to find peace is to focus on the learning that can come from any situation in life. You can learn and find strength from anything that happens to you. I have certainly learned from and found strength as a result of my own experiences. If you see all situations in life as a way of learning and growing, it helps you let go of your need for things to be a certain way, and that is another way of saying that you have peace.

I find my peace in various places, including:

* Taking mental breaks throughout the day at work to surf the web, chat with a co-worker, or just take a walk.
* The commute to and from work. Listening to the radio or a podcast. Or nothing at all. Waiting to make work calls or stressing over email until I get to the office.
* Switching gears completely when arriving home to help with the kids' bedtime. The routine is soothing for all of us.
* Sometimes just turning things off and ignoring the noise for a little while. I don't need to worry because it will be there when I return. But the respite is relaxing.
