You also brought back memories I have of my brother Bayard calling me July 27, 1994, just two days before he and Colonel Barrett died in Pensacola at the hands of a religious assasin trying to nullify the Roe v. Wade decision. For some reason, I recorded our conversation that one morning because, being much older, he always had good ideas and words of wisdom for me. Your physics degree from UVA also awakened me as I received a BA in physics from UVA in '53, and have loved working with it ever since. Such fond memories. Your mom was absolutely the most emotionally generous person I have ever known. She was so encouraging to be around, ready to listen and offer from her vast wisdom if you wanted that.
